This was a good article for me, having not worked with film itself before I found some good ideas and practises that I could use. Seemed to me more like a guidebook than something more critical that I was expecting, though he did seem to beat around the bush a fair bit. Leading me to try and think about what he was saying rather than him giving it to me straight as an instruction manual might have. Though I coming at it from that direction, as an instruction manual, it was more interesting than reading some manual with lots of numbers and diagrams I didn't understand.
